Appealing Social Security Disability Insurance Decisions

[email protected]

What to do if you receive a Social Security Disability denial letter

If you have not already contacted us for representation prior to receiving your denial letter, you should file an appeal as soon as possible. This must be done within sixty (60) days of the date on the denial letter.  Unfavorable decisions by the Social Security Administration for the initial application of benefits is very common.

While the easiest way to file the appeal is using Social Security's website, you can also file your appeal in person at your local Social Security office. No matter how you file your appeal, be sure that you receive a receipt from Social Security (you will receive a receipt automatically if you use Social Security's website).  If you are unsure how to file an appeal, contact one of the social security disability attorneys at Amori & Associates and we can help you.
